Grand Imperial Porter

Grand Imperial Porter is a representative of the Baltic Porter style. From the first sip, it delights with the taste of roasted grains combined with notes of chocolate, coffee, caramel and noticeable nuances of dried fruit. It is distinguished by an extremely dense, creamy head with a perfect structure. Perfect for desserts, especially dark chocolate.

The main distinguishing features of the Baltic porter are the use of bottom-fermenting yeast, roasted malts and long aging. Style enthusiasts additionally extend this time, which, under the right conditions, refines the taste.

In our brewery, we draw on the tradition of brewing in Pomerania. Therefore, the Baltic porter was the obvious choice. Its recipe was developed in the 19th century in the countries of the Baltic Sea basin and in Russia. It was a replacement for the Russian imperial stout imported from Great Britain.

We have been brewing our Grand Imperial Porter since 2008. From the very beginning, it was recognized by consumers and received many awards:

2013: Chmielaki Krasnostawskie; first place in the category: Strong dark beer with an extract content in the wort area 18.1° BLG.;
2010: Beer of the Year title awarded by Bractwo Piwne;
2010: 1st place in the Browar.biz plebiscite in the “Porters” category;
2009: 2nd place in the Beer of the Year category in the Browar.biz plebiscite;
2009: 1st place in the Browar.biz plebiscite in the “Porters” category;
2008: 1st place in the “Porter” category in the 2nd Christmas Porter and Stout Tasting in Moscow;
2008: 1st place in the Browar.biz plebiscite in the “Porters” category.

Porter perfectly complements the taste of desserts. Some people add a scoop of ice cream to it. In a dry version, it perfectly harmonizes with hearty red meat dishes.
